Established in 2018
Jamieson Law Firm was established in 2018 by Eric Jamieson. After two decades in private practice at other Willamette Valley law firms, Eric brings a wealth of experience in business and tax to clients in a small firm setting. Shelly joined the firm in 2022 in order to expand the level of services provided to clients. Their goal is to listen to clients and carefully identify objectives in order to provide efficient and innovative solutions.

Eric Jamieson has more than 20 years of experience in counseling business clients. Eric’s experience and understanding of the tax laws allows him to serve businesses and business owners throughout the Northwest in a variety of industries, including agriculture, real estate development, construction and health care. He is particularly adept in working with family businesses to efficiently accomplish their goals.
Eric was raised in Yakima, Washington. After receiving his undergraduate degree at Washington State University, Eric went on to graduate from law school at the University of Montana and thereafter receive his LL.M. in tax from New York University. He relocated to Salem in 2000 where he began his legal career and met his wife, Shelly. When Eric is not working, he enjoys golfing, spending time with family and traveling to Hawaii.
Shelly Jamieson specializes in qualified retirement plans and deferred compensation agreements. An effective retirement plan design helps employers attract and retain employees, facilitate business succession planning and maximize tax benefits. Shelly’s experience adds to the range of services provided to business clients.
Shelly was raised in Klamath Falls, Oregon. She moved to Salem in 1996 where she attended Willamette University for both undergraduate and law school degrees. Enjoying the Salem community and activities in the Willamette Valley, Shelly joined a Salem law firm and thereafter became in-house counsel for a retirement plan administration firm. When Shelly is not working, she enjoys running, going to the gym, reading and wine tasting.
Hilary Barber serves as paralegal to the firm and has worked in the business law and real estate law fields for over 12 years, previously working in family law and estate planning law. Hilary’s breadth of experience, coupled with her dedication to clients, provides for efficient solutions to client’s needs.
Hilary was raised in Lebanon, Oregon. She attended Oregon State University before deciding to pursue a degree in paralegal studies. Hilary began her paralegal career at firms in California and Washington, before ultimately circling back home to Oregon, where she has worked in the business law and real estate law fields ever since. When Hilary is not working, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, riding their horses, fishing, hiking, and everything else the great outdoors has to offer.
